…what are you reading this weekend?
You can always tell a pressman by his newsprint hat!
Will continue digging into Joseph Mitchell’s The Bottom of the Harbor…have also hit up the library for the DVD of Joe Gould’s Secret, a memoir about Mitchell’s meeting Joe Gould, a “Greenwich Village character who cadges meals, drinks, and contributions to the Joe Gould Fund and who is writing a voluminous Oral History of the World, a record of 20,000 conversations he’s overheard.”
Stars Stanley Tucci, Ian Holm, and Hope Davis.
What could be bad?

The depth of the creativity and craziness of Gould cuts a bit close to my bones…
