Bukowski shows in the short film of his poem, Nirvana:
not much chance,
completely cut loose from
purpose,
he was a young man
riding a bus
through North Carolina
on the way to somewhere
and it began to snow

Many years ago I had a chance to hear Bukowski read at St. Marks Church in the east village. Whoever is reading this poem – I can’t locate any credits – certainly evokes his style and voice.
Not to say the spirit of wanderlust it brings back…
