Zuniga is a nationally touring poet, teaching artist and activist. She is currently ranked in the top 5 female poets, from the 2012 Women of the World Poetry Slam. She is the founder of Oklahoma Young Writers and the 2012 Activist-in-Residence at the University of Oklahoma. Her work has been featured in On the Issues Magazine, on MoveOn.org, Daily Kos, Crooks and Liars, Being Liberal, RH Reality Check, Muzzle Magazine, The Faulking Truth, The Good Things About America and The Gayly. Most days, she identifies as granola femme/queer/mama. She lives with her two kids in an artist collective named Clementine where they experiment with weird things like kombucha and co-operation.
