Can you tell me why this is an example of bad kerning?
Design lesson complete. Take the rest of the weekend off…

I would love to move these letters in the right position, with enough distance, which doesn’t mean the same distance between each, it depends on each letter and its neighbours, I would do that by intuition and taking distance to see what works, it would be an undescribable process in words. 🙂

Spoken like an artist! With the intrusion of technology, many think that type is simply a choice from a drop down menu. But it can be and is part of the creative process. Glad to see you’re back! 🙂

One of the worse things of my wordpress template is that it doesn’t allow me to change typo or to do the ‘spacing’… Glad to see you are still there and lovely to read your always interesting posts.

Sometimes what I’ll do is set up the post in a word processing program (e.g. Word) the way I want it – font, line and letter, spacing, etc – then take a screen shot and turn it into a jpg. I post that instead of trying to compose in WordPress. Fun to play with…more options with an image…

That’s a good idea, but I also mean the title of my blog etc. all ‘preset’ (font etc.) Can’t believe it’s cursive… 🙂

Titles you can’t really change…never really noticed that that yours had a cursive structure to it until you pointed it out. Good choice!
